Greetings to you in the name of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My name is Joshua. I am pastor of Hope City Church in mangalore. I’d like to present with you an opportunity to help us reach more and more youngsters in the city of Mangalore.
I moved to the city seven years ago based on a call I received from the Lord in the year 2015. In the year 2016, October 9th, we began our first service by faith, and since then we’ve seen God help us grow and expand our ministry and help us to help us reach out to more and more young people. When we look at the church and when we look at the ministry and what it’s done over the years, we are so grateful to God because we’ve seen lives transformed.
We’ve seen people turn to God. We’ve witnessed people, youngsters who are living in sin, addictions, turn to Christ completely and they’ve rejected their own life and they’ve embraced this new life in Christ.
The work in the city is not yet done. There’s so much to do in the city, and we need your help and we need your support. Currently, we are worshipping in a space where we are using it to its maximum potential, and we are in need of a bigger space. A few months ago, God laid it on our hearts to move to a bigger place so that we can continue to grow and expand this ministry.
The good news is that we have found a place that is just right for our church and we are super excited about moving into the new place. But this is where we need your help. This transition to the new place is going to cost us about Eight lakh rupees and we need your support. This cost is going to cover our deposit, our soundproofing and purchase of new audio, video and lighting equipments.
We are in a financial need, and I encourage you to consider how we can support this ministry. Maybe you’ve been part of this church when you were a student here, or maybe your children were part of this church when they were students here, or maybe you’re part of our online family, or maybe you just visited when you were on a vacation.

As you consider giving I’d like to share a passage of scripture with you.
2 Corinthians 8:1–3 NIV
- And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches.
- In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity.
- For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own,
Apostle Paul here writes about the grace that God had given the Macedonian churches. Now here’s something you should know about the Macedonian church. The Macedonian church, the people at Macedonia were extremely poor.
That is how Paul describes their state. But what happens is that they gave generously. As much as they were able, and the Bible says Even beyond their ability, the question is, how did that happen? How is it possible for someone to live in such extreme poverty but still give for the service of the Lord?
How is it possible? We find an answer to that in verse one. In verse one, we find the word grace. What we see here is that the extremely poor Macedonians gave because their giving was motivated by grace. They didn’t look at their situation. They didn’t look at what they lacked. But they thought, how can I be of service to God’s kingdom?
And so their giving was motivated by grace. As you consider giving to this ministry, as you consider giving to this church. I’d like to encourage you to prayerfully seek the Lord as to how you can help.
